KYC / AML policy of InfinitAI

This page explains how InfinitAI verifies the identity of its users (KYC, Know Your Customer) and what the platform does to prevent money laundering and the financing of unlawful activity (AML). The policy applies to every account opened through this website, whatever the deposit method or plan, and forms part of the Terms of Use you accept at registration. Each section answers one practical question.

1. Introduction

Identity checks exist for one purpose: to keep the platform usable by honest people and hostile to criminals. KYC procedures confirm who you are; AML procedures look for patterns associated with laundering the proceeds of crime; and, where applicable, measures against the financing of terrorism (CFT) add a further layer of scrutiny. Together they make account theft, impersonation and fraud meaningfully harder, and protect the financial system the platform connects to through its partners in India.

2. What KYC is

KYC, Know Your Customer, is the process of identifying the person behind an account and confirming that the details provided are genuine. In practice this means collecting your legal name, date of birth, address and contact details, checking them against an official identity document, and storing evidence of that check. Verification happens once at onboarding and is refreshed if documents expire or activity raises a question.

3. What AML is

AML, anti-money laundering, is the set of controls designed to detect and report attempts to disguise the origin of unlawfully obtained funds. On this platform it means three things: a risk assessment of each account, monitoring of transactions for patterns inconsistent with your profile, and reporting obligations towards the competent Indian authorities where the law requires it. Detection does not imply an accusation; most reviews end with confirmation that everything is in order.

4. Why identity verification is required

Verification serves four goals. It prevents fraud, because an impostor cannot pass a check against your real documents. It protects accounts, because a verified identity anchors every recovery and withdrawal decision. It supports compliance with applicable Indian requirements for identity verification and record keeping. And it reduces risk for everyone, since verified users transact in an environment where counterparties are also known. Without verification, deposits cannot be activated and withdrawals cannot be paid out.

5. Documents you need to provide

To confirm identity, we accept government-issued photo documents: passport, Aadhaar card, Voter ID, driving licence or NREGA job card. To confirm address, we accept a recent utility bill, a bank statement from an Indian bank, or the address page of an official document showing your current residence. A clear, uncropped photo or scan of the original is enough; never send passwords or full card numbers with any document.

For some accounts we also ask for a short selfie or liveness check, a live capture confirming the document belongs to the person registering. You are told in advance when this applies, and biometric data, where collected, is used only for this verification.

6. The verification process, step by step

Registration: you create the account with your name, email and phone number. Submission: through the secure document screen you upload the identity document and, where requested, proof of address. Automatic check: the system reads the document, checks its validity features and compares it with your account details, typically within minutes. Manual review: if anything is unclear, a compliance officer reviews the file and may ask one follow-up question. Confirmation: the result arrives by email and, once approved, your account can be funded and activated.

7. Enhanced due diligence

Some situations call for enhanced due diligence (EDD): large initial deposits, activity that differs sharply from your profile, third parties funding your account, or residence details connected to higher-risk categories in our internal risk assessment. EDD may include a source-of-funds statement, a salary slip or a chartered accountant's certificate, and a longer review time. It is a proportionality measure, not an accusation.

8. How long verification takes

A complete, clearly photographed file usually passes the automatic check within minutes and the manual stage, where needed, within one business day. Overall time depends on document quality, completeness of the submission and whether EDD applies. The current status is always visible on the verification screen, and if a stage has been pending longer than two business days, write to [email protected].

9. Reasons a check can be refused

Verification can be declined or suspended when a document is expired, unreadable or cropped so that security features are hidden; when the name does not match the account; when there are signs of digital manipulation; when follow-up information is not provided within a reasonable time; or when screening connects the applicant to sanctioned parties or prohibited activities. A refusal always states the reason, and most reasons can be fixed by submitting a better document. Attempting verification with forged documents ends the application and may be reported.

10. Transaction monitoring

Deposits and withdrawals are monitored against your profile: amounts, frequency, destinations and the payment rails used, including UPI, IMPS, NEFT and card traffic through our partners. Where activity is inconsistent with the profile, or a third party appears to be moving funds through the account, we may ask for an explanation, pause specific functions while the review runs, and, in the narrow cases the law defines, file a report with the competent authority. Reviews are documented, and a user is informed of a pause where the law permits.

11. Your responsibilities as a user

You agree to provide accurate, current and genuine information at registration, to use only payment methods held in your own name, and not to allow anyone else to operate your account. Providing false information, uploading someone else's documents, or processing funds for third parties are breaches of the Terms of Use; consequences range from freezing specific functions to account closure and, where required, reporting to the authorities.

12. Storage and protection of KYC data

Verification documents and the records of our checks are stored in encrypted form, with access limited to the compliance roles that need them and every access logged. Retention follows the periods required by applicable Indian record-keeping expectations for identity and transaction records, after which documents are securely deleted. 13. Who receives this data

KYC and AML data is processed by InfinitAI as the platform operator and, strictly to the extent each needs it, by: identity-verification providers running document and liveness checks, IT providers hosting the encrypted storage, affiliated companies involved in operating the platform, the regulated banking and payment partners that move your rupee deposits and withdrawals, and regulators or other competent authorities where a lawful request or reporting duty applies. No sale of this data to advertisers or data brokers takes place, ever.

14. Regulatory alignment

InfinitAI complies with applicable Indian requirements for identity verification and reporting under Indian AML regulations, for payment interactions with regulated banking and payment partners, and with applicable investor-protection and disclosure requirements in the technology and information services provided to Indian users. Where an activity is performed with a licensed partner, that partner's own obligations also apply. Details are on the Licensing and regulation page.

15. Contact for KYC and AML questions

Questions about verification status, document requirements, EDD requests or anything else on this page go to [email protected], handled by the Client Support & Compliance team during Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00 IST (excluding public holidays). If a document you need to submit is unusual, ask before uploading: a two-line email often saves a full review cycle. Verification questions are answered first, because a blocked check blocks everything downstream.
